St Gregory the Great Catholic Academy Trust
The Trust is formed of Catholic primary and secondary academies in the Leeds City area of the Diocese of Leeds. The Trust is under the patronage of St Gregory the Great, who was Pope of the Catholic Church between 590 and 604 AD and is the patron saint of teachers and students.
In coming together as a Trust, we keep in our minds the words of Gregory the Great ‘The proof of love is in the works. Where love exists, it works great things. But when it ceases to act, it ceases to exist.’
The academy trust is distinctively Catholic, with Christ and the teaching of the Catholic Church and with its liturgical, sacramental and spiritual life at the centre of all we do.
We will work together to:
- provide the best possible opportunities for every child
- provide assistance to parents
- serve the Diocese, parishes and homes
- provide a service to society
